With over 20 years of experience in Design and Advertising, he began his career at Diário de Notícias as a designer at Suplemento Dna, DN Radical and DN Mais.
During this period, he conceived and graphically remodeled several magazines, newspapers and weeklies, including Revista OQ, Política Moderna, Semanário Euronotícias, among others.

From 2000 onwards, he held the position of Creative Supervisor of the Design department at FCB – Foote Cone & Belding, working on the following accounts: Amoreiras Fashion (Amoreiras Shopping Magazine), Jornal do Sporting, Peugeot, Atitude (Peugeot Quarterly Magazine), Weekly Expresso das Nove (Azores), Graphic design of Pestana Hotels & Resorts, Pousadas de Portugal, Nivea, Remax, Turismo do Alentejo, Chevrolet, Mundicenter, SECIL, Controlinveste (Notícias, Diário de Notícias, Jornal de Notícias and TSF), Nutricafés, PrimeDrinks and FCB International (Design of the global graphic image for the Advertising agency).

In 2014, he founded the DNA Design atelier. Some of the clients he works for include Sonae Indústria, Sonae Arauco, Maria Inês Home Style, The Spot Market, Sata Internacional, OGPromo, CW Design, Peppermint, Quinta do Monte d’Oiro, Urban Motion, The Square and Hey.

Currently a design partner at Catch, he is responsible for the Design area for clients such as ALD Automotive, ASJP, GRUPO ETE, Pernod Ricard, Lusitania Vida, SISCOG, YPO, Pierre Fabre, among others.

Duarte holds a Degree in Communication Design from IADE.
